Where One Goes by B.N. Toler

Where One Goes

where-one-goes

For Charlotte Acres, seeing the dead is a curse. Sure, she can help the ghost with his/her unfinished business but at the cost of her normal life. Her parents paid her off to go away. Her friends abandoned a freak like her. She was ready to give up on her life by jumping off a bridge but a ghost saved her. Ike McDermott’s unfinished business is his twin brother, George McDermott. Together, Charlotte and Ike attempts to bring George back to live and learn to let go.

“I love you, too, baby girl,” he whispers. “Here, there, forever.”

This book just breaks my heart! My golly, I cannot. B.N. Toler never fails to write a book that would make readers cry like a baby. This is truly one of the most heartbreaking stories ever written. I feel like I’ve been through a roller coaster ride after reading this book. The feelings of these characters are so intense it practically clings at you. The stories of their pasts played a huge role in determining their future.

I liked Ike more than George. It’s probably because we were able to see only the good sides of him. He was the hero, the knight in shining armor who saved Char. On the other hand, we met George at his lowest point in life. He was able to redeem himself, of course, but it was like the damage has been done and I couldn’t forget his assholiness. But I still love them both… I just prefer the other brother. I truly feel for Char. I can’t imagine dealing with all the tragedies she faced in her life. I admire how strong and determine she became to continue living life.

The only thing I didn’t like is the love triangle between brothers… twins no less. I really had no patience with that. Thankfully, I was able to see the boys as separate identities. They were so different but similar in loving someone. Oh, I almost forgot about Sniper. I absolutely adore that man! Can we get his book? Pretty please.
