Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher

Mud Vein

Mud Vein

On her thirty-third birthday, author Senna Richard found herself a prisoner in a house in the middle of nowhere with no means of escape. As Senna uncovers clues after clues, it is clear that whoever took her knew her inside and out. This is Senna’s journey to dig into her dark past in order to save, not only herself, but also the man she once loved.

Hands down one the best books ever written.

It was not the heartbreaking love affair that compelled me to say that. It was the whole package. It was every mystery, every metaphor, every plot twist that makes this book so damn beautiful. This is not your traditional romance/suspense story. This is not a damsel in distress waiting for her prince to save her. It was so much more with all the mind games. Truly, Tarryn Fisher has such ways with words.

“The truth is for the mind,” he says. “Lies are for the heart. So let’s just keep lying.”

I know I said that the love story didn’t make a big impression on me but I can’t help fall in love with him. Seriously, it hurts so bad. I don’t know how many tears I shed from all Senna endured from her past, present and her future. When you think it was the end, and it was supposed to be sunshine and rainbows, remember this Tarryn Fisher. You really think she’ll do something that predictable? I assure you this book will hurt you, one way or another.
