Hush Hush Saga by Becca Fitzpatrick

Hush Hush

I love love love Patch this series! I think this was the first ‘angelic’ book I’ve read. And it was awesome!

Nora Grey is your average high school student except for the fact that her father was murdered when she was only a kid. All is well in Nora’s world when suddenly she found herself partnered with Patch Cipriano, the transfer, instead of her best friend Vee Sky. Patch Cipriano gets under her skin like no one else. He knows a little too much about her without having to ask. At the same time she’s having bizarre ‘visions’ that’ll likely get her killed one of these days. Added to the mix is the new kid Elliot Sanders whose showing interest to our dear Nora and his mysterious friend Jules.

So, Patch. He is the definition of P-E-R-F-E-C-T. He’s absolutely one of my book boyfriends. He is intense around Nora and I love it! Gah, I feel my skin burning whenever he and Nora had private moments. But he’s hiding a big and dark secret of his past, of who he really is. And what his undeniably connection with Nora really is about.

Brief Recap: Patch was a fallen angel. Nora is a descendant. It was Jules who attacked Vee, not Patch. Jules was the Nephilim at the prologue.

Now for the second installment of the series, I can’t help but compare this to Twilight. Aside from the fact that they both contain four books and the guy is part of the supernatural world, there are no other similarities. But both series showed a ‘break-up stage’ at second book. Yep, so be warned that this book will leave you gut-wrenching heartbreak. But don’t worry we still have two books for them to kiss and make-up. This book is so full of feels. Up, down, up, down, I can’t keep up. My gosh.

Brief Recap: We had a new character, Scott. A fellow hottie, no? Me thinks he is. Nora and Patch got back together. It was Roland who murdered Nora’s father, and tried to murder Nora too but failed. He’s a prisoner in hell now. Our Patch is now a rogue angel, so he no longer have to guard Marcie (the bitch).

The beginning of this book is totally mind fuck. I’m telling you. That cliffhanger on the previous book? That was nothing compared to this. I felt like we were on a whirlwind, I was as confused as Nora. Despite it all, I can’t help but fall in love all over again with these two. I love love the new problems and revelations. New problems equal longer shits. Longer shits equal more Patch!!! I am not yet ready to let these characters, so I’m happy to tell you that this is not the end yet! The last book is titled Finale, apt yes?

Brief Recap: Nora forgot everything from the last five months, because of what mojo The Black Hand did. We learned that Patch’s real name is Jev. Hot, yes? The Black Hand is dead (yay!). Nora must now lead the Nephilim to the war against the angels.

The final wait is here. What will Nora do, being the new leader of the Nephilim? With the impending war, will Nora and Patch find their way to be together? Will they be able to stop the said war? Will all our characters have their own HEA? So many questions and all the answers were between these pages and more! Personally, I love the ending. Even if this character died, I’m not very invested in him/her. However, this character is close to our heroine, so his/her death had an impact. Brace yourself for the feels, because you never know what future Becca Fitzpatrick chose for our heroes and heroines.
