If you want to take a break from all the drama of falling in and out of love, this book will do. This story centers on how friendship no matter what happens can conquer anything also. All Emily had was a to-do-list from her bestfriend, Sloane, after she disappeared that summer. Emily believes that after she completed the list, she would finally get the answers as to what happened to Sloane.
This book is like a breath of fresh air for me. Most of the books I’ve read consist of the boy-meets-girl routine, so it was different for me to read a book that is mostly about friendship and I love it! There are still parts where Emily will find herself falling for a guy but it was not really the main focus of the story. Emily and Sloane’s friendship was so beautiful, their story made me cry a bit.
“Real friends are the ones you can count on no matter what. The ones who go into the forest to find you and bring you home. And real friends never have to tell you that they’re your friends.”
