Beautiful Series by Jamie McGuire

Beautiful Disaster

Abby Abernathy starts college at Eastern University with her best friend to escape the darkness of her past. She’s now a good girl who wears the right clothes and didn’t drink or swear too much. Whatever peace she might think to find was bombarded with meeting EU’s Mr. One Night Stand, Travis Maddox. Travis occasionally fights in the Circle, where their first bet took place. Will Abby be able to resist the sweetest charm of Travis Maddox? Or will she be just another notch on his bedpost? Read on to discover how it feels like be wooed and pursued by the one and only Travis Maddox.

I love the roller coaster ride. I was emotionally exhausted and elated after reading this. Although, I’m kinda concerned with how long the books is. You would think that Abby’s dark past is the only problem that we’ll encounter (and aside from Travis’ man-whoring ways), but there were far more factors involved. But still, I love it because it means more time with our characters. I love the characters, especially Travis. It’s the tattoos. Am I right or am I right? He is certifiably insane. He loves insanely. He fights insanely. He does everything insanely, and I’m insanely in love with him. *bow*

This is a Valentine’s Day date story between Abby and Travis. I love seeing them in their everyday life as husband and wife. Two working college students in love with one another celebrating their first ever V-Day as newlyweds. We were given another glimpse to Travis’ romantic side. *swoon*

Walking Disaster

Beautiful Disaster is Abby Abernathy’s chance to telling her side of the story. Walking Disaster is here to give us an opportunity to see things from a new perspective, none other than our very own Travis Maddox. This is not just a retelling of Beautiful Disaster, there are new scenes, behind the scenes of how Travis’ organized Pigeon’s birthday. How Toto arrived to the household. And a peek on the close relationship of Travis to his family.

I love love the prologue and epilogue! TMF!!! Too much feeeeeels!!! The prologue was gut-wrenching, I can’t help but start tearing up as I was reading it. The epilogue also gives us a look on the far future of our babies and it’s good. And the last bit on the epilogue was so swoon worthy, it defeats the swoonest shit.

A Beautiful Wedding

This would be the last bit for the Beautiful series and I can’t help but be disappointed. I found a very unpleasant revelation. I’m not sure if I missed it in Beautiful Disaster but I don’t think I did. I was waiting for the revelation to be revealed in the scenes, but it didn’t happen. It’s just sad. So sad, because this novella is a redo for their quickie wedding in Vegas and there’s still things left unsaid, things secreted away.
